Ricks Front Door

5 Years
It's been five years since I started my company. It's passed in a blink of an eye as every year has before. I have had many bumps and bruises. The latest bump or bruise was the theft of jewelry of a customer, by one of my Craftsman. I had never been so humiliated and embarrassed in all my life. The homeowner left a key to the front door so my craftsman could get in while they were gone. The craftsman said he had to use the bathroom and went in and took the jewelry. Fortunately we recovered the biggest part of the haul. The best thing that came out of this is the wake up call I got about the honesty of people. No matter how innocent they look or even background checked, DON"T TRUST ANYONE! That is so sad that it has come down to this. We now are bonded so we are protected in case this happens again.

Advertising for your company
As a rule of thumb I have been using 10% of the previous years revenue as a measuring stick for my advertising campaigns. Is this the standard formulae or is there another way of calculating how much to spend in advertising. Any input would be appreciated.
